Time to say good-bye to Beijing. Thank you to everyone who showed up to see us off. We miss you!

Out of the returning Waldrons, Mom, Dad and I wanted to stay, Marianna was happy wherever, and Olivia couldn't wait to get back to the States.

LA at last. Boy, are we tired.

Last year at this time, we managed to get lost. Instead of going to the nearby park across the street, we wound up in a buddist temple.

It was in the middle of a week long celebration, so many people were bringing gifts.

They burnt enough insense to make you sick.

Ahoy, mates! Using the Seven Seas shipping company, we sent all these boxes ahead of us to the States. They didn't arrive until two months after we did.

Will it all fit?

Nope. I guess it won't.

Somehow I don't think the Airline had our family in mind when they made the rules on how much luggage passengers could bring.

Right before we left China, Mom and I decided we wanted a traditional formal Chinese dress called a Qipao. After trudging through several shops trying on ready-mades that just wouldn't fit, we decided to have two tailor made. Our Chinese teacher Jocelyn willingly helped us with translating.

Six months later...the dress still fits!
