			<title>The February of Yesteryear</title>

Instead of going to the nearby park across the street, we wound up in a buddist temple.<br /><br /><img src="images/budda2.jpg" width="512" height="411" border="0" alt="" /><br />It was in the middle of a week long celebration, so many people were bringing gifts.<br /><br /><img src="images/budda3.jpg" width="512" height="411" border="0" alt="" /><br />They burnt enough insense to make you sick. ]]></description>

Using the Seven Seas shipping company, we sent all these boxes ahead of us to the States. 			<title>What&#039;s China Without Some...Silk?</title>

After trudging through several shops trying on ready-mades that just wouldn&#039;t fit, we decided to have two tailor made. Our Chinese teacher Jocelyn willingly helped us with translating.<br /><br /><img src="images/qipao2.jpg" width="512" height="722" border="0" alt="" /><br />Six months later...the dress still fits! ][]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[As a present for my fifteenth birthday, Dad took me to Shanghai! ][<br /><br /><img src="images/shanghaiscenery.jpg" width="512" height="384" border="0" alt="" /><br />The first day, we walked around the Bund- a famous street in Shanghai known for its European buildings, and went to see a very beautiful (and very large-we nearly got lost) Chinese garden.<br /><br /><img src="images/shanghaibund.jpg" width="512" height="384" border="0" alt="" /><br />Opposite the Bund is Shanghai&#039;s business secton and the Oriental Pearl TV tower. <br /><br /><img src="images/shanghaitower.JPG" width="512" height="384" border="0" alt="" /><br />This is from the top of the Jin Mao tower, looking down through the eighty-eight floors of the hotel in the same building. Very scary! []]]></description>

			<title>Hospital Visit </title>

			<description><![CDATA[A few weeks ago we rushed Marianna to the Beijing United Family Hospital ER room, only to learn her appendix had ruptured. Oh, no! []<br /><br /><img src="images/hospitle1.jpg" width="512" height="395" border="0" alt="" /><br />Time for some more medicine to help inflate her lungs.<br /><br /><img src="images/hospitle2.jpg" width="512" height="395" border="0" alt="" /><br />CT scan anyone? Marianna described it as one of the worst things that had ever happened to her.<br /><br /><img src="images/hospitle3.jpg" width="512" height="395" border="0" alt="" /><br />Waiting and waiting. Marianna was in the hospital for two weeks. :|<br /><br /><img src="images/hospitle4.jpg" width="512" height="395" border="0" alt="" /><br />The nurses have a ball working on the &quot;golden girl&#039;s&quot; hair.<br /><br />Thanks for everyone&#039;s prayers. It was a big comfort knowing we had support. Marianna got out of the hospital Thursday evening.]]></description>
